Privacy policy
This policy describes how the personal data of users of pisicapix.ro is processed. The site does not require an account, does not use cookies and does not display advertising. An email address is collected only on the user's initiative and is used solely for communications about the book "Pix Paws through Bucharest".
Last updated: 26 October 2026
Data controller
The controller of the personal data processed through this site is FILM DELIVERY SRL, tax identification number RO37190559, Trade Register No. J40/3163/2017. Processing is carried out in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR) and Romanian Law No. 190/2018.
The book "Pix Paws through Bucharest" is published by Asociația ARTA în Dialog and funded by the Romanian Order of Architects from the Architectural Stamp Duty.
Any request concerning the processing of personal data should be sent to the controller at [email protected]. The controller will respond within one month of receipt, in accordance with Article 12(3) GDPR.
Email updates
The „Anunță-mă când ajunge în librării" ("Let me know when it's in the shops") form and the colouring pages form collect only an email address. Completing either form entails no obligation and no cost for the user.
The email address is used to inform the user when the book is published and where it is sold (bookshops and museums) and, for the colouring pages, to send the PDF. The data is not disclosed to third parties for their own purposes and is not used for advertising.
- Legal basis: the data subject's consent, under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent is confirmed through a verification email sent after the form is submitted (double opt-in).
- Processor: EmailOctopus, the email delivery provider, based in the United Kingdom. The transfer relies on the adequacy decision adopted by the European Commission for the United Kingdom, under Article 45 GDPR.
- Retention period: until consent is withdrawn. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and the address is removed from the list once it is used.
Launch registration
Registration for the launch event on 7 November 2026 takes place on the Luma platform, not on pisicapix.ro. The „Rezervă un loc" ("Book a place") button opens the Luma form in a window over the page, and the Luma code loads only when the user scrolls to the launch section or presses the button. Processing on the Luma platform is governed by the Luma privacy policy.
The controller has access to the names and email addresses of registered attendees and uses them to send a reminder and to organise the event. The attendee list is deleted within 30 days of the launch date.
Location on the map
The map page can show the user's position, only after explicit permission is granted in the browser. Location data is processed exclusively on the user's device, for the purpose of showing the position on the map. It is not transmitted to, stored by or accessed by the controller.
Technical data and service providers
The following providers are used to operate the site. Each receives the IP address of the user's device, which is necessary to deliver the content:
- Cloudflare: hosting of the site and short-term retention of the technical logs needed to protect it against attacks.
- Adobe Fonts: delivery of the typefaces used on the site.
- OpenFreeMap and unpkg: delivery of the map data and of the library that displays the map, on the map page only.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: aggregate traffic measurement (number of visits, country, page visited), without cookies and without identifying the user.
The legal basis for this processing is the controller's legitimate interest in ensuring the operation and security of the site, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The site does not use cookies, does not use Google Analytics and does not track users across sites, which is why no cookie consent banner is displayed.
Minors
The book is intended for children; the site is intended for their parents. The controller does not knowingly collect personal data from minors. Should it emerge that a minor has submitted their email address, it will be deleted upon request sent to the contact address above.
Rights of the data subject
Under Articles 15 to 21 GDPR, the data subject has the right of access, the right to rectification, the right to erasure, the right to restriction of processing, the right to data portability and the right to object, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal. These rights are exercised by request sent to the contact address above.
The data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP, dataprotection.ro) or with the supervisory authority of their country of residence.
Changes to this policy
The controller may update this policy to reflect changes to the site. The version in force is published on this page, with the date of the last update. Data subjects directly affected by a change will be informed by email.
